I wanted to start this new thread by reminding everyone that I would love to read some opinions from other people as well. I am gonna continue to force my reviews down your throats simply because I love to do that kind of thing, Lol. But I think other people participating would give varied points of view and just make it that much more fun and interesting. Meg rocks, have a great day. Peace out, YOLO, word to your mother, and any other cliché goodbye you can think of.

Book: Masters of the Hotel Bentmoore by Shelby Cross Genre: BDSM/Erotica Rating: ** Sex: Vulgar and sloppy, in a word... perfect! First off, thank you Rashka for the suggestion! I absolutely loved this compilation of stories, and have decided to buy Tales of the Hotel Bentmoore as well. I took one smiley away for spelling and grammatical errors, simply because even though I was completely taken by the stories I still noticed enough to get annoyed. The other smiley I took off was ONLY because there is no actual story line. This is a bunch of stories about the activities that go on at this hotel, therefore very little character building for the regular characters and no back story on anyone. At this point it is important that I make it perfectly clear that I still would have given it 5 stars just because it was so educational! All of the stories taught me something in one way or another, the difference between D/s and abuse, some women cant orgasm with vaginal stimulation, what a Daddy/Babygirl relationship really is... the list goes on! The sex in this book was vulgar, sloppy, and wonderful. I think I enjoyed it so much because it served a purpose in each story, whether it was exploring new boundaries, teaching "lessons," or even therapeutic! I enjoy books that make me rethink my outlook on certain subjects. I have always been skeeved out by the thought of the Daddy/Babygirl relationship, this book helped me see past my preconceived "daddy issues" stereotype and my GOODNESS! It was hot! And to be honest, it would be fun! I totally recommend this book and look forward to reading the next one.

The Edge of Jasmine from the Bentmore Hotel series is actually a story all about Mr. Sinclaire and Samantha. Still has spelling errors and some irritating grammatical issues but tolerable. The reason i enjoyed and found them interesting is the same as you.... educational for letting me understand a few misconceptions myself. I am very happy you enjoyed them

Seanna sweetie, I have ran across a series by Red Phoenix. Brie's First Day of Submissive Training (the first book). I find this series quite fun and extremely addictive as well. there are a total of 9 books in this series. I wish that some kinda school actually exsisted.
I actually like Brie which is unusual for me i usually get tired or irritated of the main female. Have your read this or seen it before?

I have seen it, but fantasy heights was the first short story series that has ever held my interest. I'm always a little worried when spending money, simply because my husband doesn't let me buy books very often. I might put it on my wish list now, since I so thoroughly enjoyed Masters of the Hotel Bentmoore. I am halfway through The Edge of Jasmine and have started Legacy by Chris Adonn, so I'm not sure when I'll get to it but I'll let you know!

I totally understand about buying books. I bank my book money until I find one that really grabs my interest. I blew most of my book money last month on a few too many books that I have been drooling over. Mind you I always keep at least $5 in there just for FH and a few that I seem to think i MUST have LOL. My hubby will pop either $10 or $20 in my book fund each month so I am happy LOL he says "Happy wifey means happy Hubby" He also gets extra goodies after I get done reading some of my more naughty books so it keeps him really happy hahaha

Book: The Edge of Jasmine by Shelby Cross Genre: Erotica/Romance Rating: ** Sex: ** Lots, but lacking something... I liked this story and I'm super glad I know that they got their story since it grabbed my attention in Masters of the Hotel Bentmoore. That being said, I could tell this novel was written by someone used to writing short stories. The writing was abrupt, time passed quickly and the whole thing was predictable. I knew who the bad guy was the minute he was introduced, I knew she was suffering from emotional abuse that she was "hiding" from her lover, and I knew that they were going to end up fighting over his promiscuous past and her jealousy. This is kinda like revisiting a lot of mediocre novels I've read in the past and the truth is the only reason I enjoyed it was because I enjoyed their story in the first book. Still worth reading, just to know they got their HEA!

Book: The Stranger I Married by Sylvia Day Genre: Regency Romance Rating: ** Sex: ** Good stuff, nothing too crazy. I enjoyed the sexual tension in this book, and to be completely honest I'm a sucker for people with the mindset of "It will never happen to me" getting their comeuppance! The book starts with a rake (goodness but I hate that term for some reason) proposing to a beautiful widow with a new lover every few years, they reach a marital agreement since neither one of them will EVER fall in love, right? They are very close friends, during their marriage but that is all since she has a lover and he is "in love" with a married woman. Without giving anything away something happens that sends him away for four years and when he returns... BOOM! The sexual tension between the former best friends is absolutely remarkable! He wants her and she wants him (though she is terrified to admit it). The side story involving her brother is awesome as well, I enjoyed the book a lot but unfortunately it is a story line I have read many times before.

. My hubby will pop either $10 or $20 in my book fund each month so I am happy LOL he says "Happy wifey means happy Hubby" He also gets extra goodies after I get done reading some of my more naughty books so it keeps him really happy hahaha I always ask my hubby for money to buy books and he always says yes, but I'm hesitant to spend too much. Unlike your hubby mine says it gives me too many ideas and wears him out although he really encourages me to buy naughty books while he's away cause he says it keeps me entertained (he's in the Australian airforce so he's away a bit). And he's right they do keep me entertained. I'm not too into the sub Dom thing but I too really like the Brie series by red Phinix (please excuse speeding my brain not always working and I have 2kids talking to me) although I haven't bought most of them, I will be. Please keep coming with the book reviews, I need help with ideas, I don't. Get too much time to brouse though all the books on offer. So thanks.

Book: Who Loves Ya, Baby? By Gemma Bruce Genre: Contemporary Romance Rating: *** Sex: *** Lots, but ya better not blink! Teehee. I am just gonna say it out loud. I need more than a small town and a riddle to keep my interest. I put this book down several times just out of sheer boredom. The girl (already blocked out her name) was a liar with trust issues... duh, and the guy was a pushover with an awful lot of feelings for a guy. Not alpha at all. Very unattractive to me. Also, could someone please explain to me how a girl who moves out of a town that thought she was trailer trash at 13, spent 15 years building a life as a cop, and who the town is NAMED AFTER can have so many issues with her self esteem??? Excelsior Falls... her last name is Excelsior. Really! You're constantly wondering what people think about you? Grow the hell up and get over yourself! Dear LORD she was an annoying whiner! Oh! And dude was 31 years old and letting his dad bully him even though every time he thinks about it, hes not letting it happen again. Next chapter he lets it happen again! Wtf! Grow a pair and stand up for yourself you wet noodle!!! Whatever, I was so sad this book sucked, it looked funny and entertaining.

Book: Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn Genre: Psychological Thriller Rating: ** Sex: **** what was there was just wrong. Sometimes there are books that affect me in a negative way. I am horrible to live with because of my foul mood while getting through the story. I am extra cuddly and almost needy with my husband (which drives him crazy) and my happiness is squashed for the entire duration of the book, I become a negative and broody person. This is a book that brought it all out. At the same time. I even had sad and depressing dreams in the three/four nights I was reading this. I rated this book a three because obviously to affect me this deeply it was well written and a good story, but as I've stated several times, I read to escape reality not get beaten over the head with ugliness. That is the best way to explain this book. Ugly. The sex (which was a surprise since I didn't think there was any) was just plain wrong. Wrong men, wrong reason, wrong time, wrong place, and wrong fucking mentality. I disliked the girl telling the story from beginning to end, she was weak and spineless and handicapped mentally and kinda stupid and wrong in her own right in too many ways to count. Too needy, too damaged, too oblivious, too willing to party with thirteen year olds (she's 32), and too caught up on judging people. I am going to be searching for a funny, feel good book to read next so I can recover from this downer. I would recommend this book for someone who wants a psychological thriller, I was surprised by the end. It was written well and (to be fair) it was a good story that twisted and turned than smacked you upside the head in a matter of fact tone of voice that makes you blink a couple of times before you register the ugliness and brutality of the outcome. Simply put, it's just not my thing. That certainly doesn't make it bad, it was actually really good. Just not for me.

Book: Magnus Pack Series by Shelly Laurenston Genre: Paranormal Romance Rating: * Sex: * They're shapeshifters, it was awesome! Lol The books are Pack Challenge, Go Fetch, and Here Kitty Kitty. These are exactly what I needed to get over the foul mood I was left in after reading the last book. I was laughing through all three books, and I wasn't bored at all. Shelly Laurenston has a wonderful sense of humor and it comes out in every book she writes. Eben when I found out the name of the second book I started laughing and knew which character it was about, since there was only one bitch crazy enough to say that to a pack of wolf shifters! I would also like to point out that at the end of Here Kitty Kitty she was thrown over a shoulder and dragged into the house when swinging a half unraveled ball of yarn in front of an alpha lion. "It was just an experiment!" Would only keep her alive for so long, Lol! The three girls that this series revolves around are crazy, funny, bitchy, and sisters in every way that counts. I highly recommend this series for lighthearted reading, a good laugh, and awesome sex scenes.

This was an amazing series and my Hubby kept asking "Why the hell are you giggling?" and then I would just giggle more. I Love Shelly's writing style and sense of humor! ;D

You're very welcome! If you haven't yet try to get ahold of her pride series as well. The books are more expensive, but worth every penny. It's more shifter crazyness and the animal humor is priceless! A big burly bear character teaches his uptight tigon how to relax and play with her toes, a dog teaches her wolf how to let loose and chase his tail and play tug of war! The funny list is endless.
