Book: Simply Sexual by Kate Pearce Genre: Historical Erotica Rating: * Sex: Holy WOW!!! I should start out by saying that this author managed to have HOT sex in every chapter and yet I was completely taken in by the story surrounding it. That doesn't happen very often so when it does I am impressed. Disclaimer: This is not for people that cant handle male/male, female/female, or orgy scenarios. That being said, I loved this effing book! I had several "deep breath" moments while reading it in a public setting... anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about hasn't read a sexy book in public (if you take a deep breath while reading something that just shot sparks to your vagina it will turn your face back to a normal color instead of you walking around with a red, or flushed horny look to you. I take lots of deep breaths while reading at my sons football practice... don't judge me!!!!) I liked the characters enough and there ware the sexual breakthroughs toward the end that I am a sucker for. I highly recommend this book for those who are able to handle it, it will not dissappoint!!!

Book: Dark Moon by Rebecca York Genre: Paranormal(?) Romance Rating: **** Sex: **** Yawn. It was bound to happen eventually, I read another complete downer. This one had a HORRIBLE excuse for an alpha male, and a wet noodle, clueless wannabee tough chic. The story line had promise, I swear! They go to investigate a kidnapping on a "pleasure cruise" *wink wink* and are posing as a couple, but they have secretly been attracted to eachother for years. Sounds good right? The man turns out to be the King of Quickies, after 14 years together my husband STILL tries harder than this guy does. He even describes himself as a "rutting stag" no joke!!! The girl got on my nerves from the get go, tough private investigator or whiny rich girl with daddy issues? Its almost like the author couldn't make up her mind. On top of everything else they didn't even participate in any of the depraved and vile sex acts taking place on board the ship... there went my good time!!! Oh!!! And hes a werewolf. See how I just threw that in there? That's how the author seemed to do it, too.

That's it, Meg! I now consider us friends for life!!! Lol. Though I draw the line at kidnapping and chopping your feet off (shameless Misery reference... CHECK!), sorry. Not my thing.

Book: Sinful by Charlotte Featherstonr Genre: Regency Romance/Erotica... really??? Rating: ** Sex: **** For God sakes!!! Just have sex and stop THINKING!!! The story got 2 1/2 rating simply because I felt the need to finish it. I was morbidly curious, really. Was it worth it? I dunno. I felt cheated and kinda want my two days back to be honest. I read so that I can live in a fantasy land where everyone gets their HEA. If I wanted to be depressed I would read holocaust books like my sister-in-law, ya know? This is close but I didn't feel even the sex was worth suffering through all the depression. I have never lived through sex where I was completely thinking about something else, but the trend in this book is to have one paragraph of what is happening in bed then 10 of what the hell they are actually thinking about??? It made the deep love they supposedly fell into a little unbelievable to be honest. The last time my husband caught me going through my mental grocery list in the act he made sure he got my attention back on him. It really distracts from the moment and gets annoying. Just sayin!

Book: The Raven Prince by Elizabeth Hoyt Genre: Classic Romance Rating: * Sex: ** Hot, but standard romance. This one's for you, Emily! Suggestions always welcome, I aim to please. I thank you Emily, because I really enjoyed this book! I have a soft spot for unattractive main characters, of course they never look that bad in my head. Jane Eyre is a favorite of mine for just that reason. This book had a great story that I found exciting and it kept my attention from beginning to end. I also enjoyed the side story of The Raven Prince told at the beginning of each chapter, it was almost like reading two stories at the same time. I also had that moment where my heart sped up and I was like "He's gonna know! He's gonna know!" When he figures out her big secret, made me think about all our little habits that would give us away. Definitely an enjoyable story!

Book: Tempted by Megan Hart Genre: Contemporary Romance Rating: *** Sex: ** 2 1/2 for effort? I was bored to be honest. I feel the need to start this post saying (again!) That I read to ESCAPE! I like happy endings and everything tied in a pretty bow with an epilogue that has even more happy and butterflies and even the occasional rainbow or unicorn. I at least like the story to end without me wanting to slit my wrists or jump in Lake Tahoe, for goodness sakes! This being the second depressing book I have read in the last few days, I feel like everything is hopeless. Lol. I'm considering rereading the demon and his psycho book just because I know it will make me laugh! Married for 6 years and hubby introduces his best bud to the relationship... wink, wink. Sounds like good times? No. You'd be wrong. No one ends up happy, and the menage is an absolute joke. No sex? But everything else? No pressure, hubby! We'll be sure to keep that under control! Have great day at work! Sometimes it seems that an author sets up a scenario where a typical happily ever after is not a possibility. Whether this is done on purpose or not is beyond me, but I am NOT a fan. To be completely honest I'm not even going to read a second book by this author like I usually do. I don't think my optomistic personality can take it!!!

Book: Sin by Sharon Page Genre: Historical Erotica Rating: ** Sex: * I got this book off of Smart Bitches, Trashy Books website. It said if you like Kate Pearce's Simply Sexual (which I did) then you will like this one. I liked it enough, it was interesting. There was a lot of being naughty without losing virginity... if you know what I mean. There was a lot of watching and heavy breathing, and there was a lot of old fashioned dirty talk (which I found got on my nerves, lol) with a murderer/mystery type thing and trying to hide from scandal it kept my interest. The problem is I guessed right halfway through the book, so it lost a little appeal being so predictable. Solid book, but I wont read it again.

Thanks!!! I will look them up. You have been exalted for your generalized awesomeness! Lol. I have whatever is the opposite of "a cowboy thing" so I will stay away from that author.

Ahh yes cowboys are def a specific taste ... I find that most paranormal is not my thing. Quite over vamps and wolves unless they are in True Blood!! I will try almost anything at least once when it comes to books! I may have to delve through my kindle backlog to find others for you

Book: The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice Genre: Erotic Romance Rating: ** Sex: ** Sex and sexy are two different things... I am left confused by this book. I'm not sure if it is all consrntual or not, I'm not sure if shes enjoying herself or not, and I'm not sure who shes in love with. I like the concept but the amount of spanking involved is a little annoying. I get it! These people like to spank. Does Beauty enjoy it? Yes and no. Does she want to go home? Yes and no. Ask her any other question? Yes and no. I already put the other two on hold at my library, so it wasn't all bad. Lol.

LOL I read Rice,s Beauty trilogy and must admit that for the most part I was underwhelmed and even a little put off at too many instances. Then again, This was quite a while back so perhaps my likes have changed. As always, love your reviews and shall exalt you for them
