lol. I'm in two minds. Part of me wants to reach the conclusion so that I can breathe again (yep, I get that absorbed in the story). Another part of me knows that this calibre of plot and writing don't come along everyday so I'd hate for it to end. But then again, I'm pretty sure anything else Meg chooses to write will be just as spectacular.

The way I see it is that every new book release Meg puts out I get to revisit FH and all the oh so consuming charters. I just love rereading this series in prep for a new book. I am on book four today and by the weekend should be ready for the new release Meg has “ almost“ ready for us followers. I could be held off a bit by may be the first chapter of book 7, if it were to be posted or maybe the cover of the book. Yes I am begging here for some good crumbs.

Its been a while since I posted any reviews and I'll tell you why. Because once you get drawn into the black hole that is series reading it takes forever to find your way back out! I mean wow! Wtf??? I just finished the Demonica Series by Larissa Ione, and it has led to me reserving the Lords of Deliverance series at my library! Loved it even if the middle book dragged a little. The story is awesome and the sex is good (it better be the characters are incubi, Lol!) Another one I just made it through is Shelly Laurenston's Pride Series... Effing hilarious!!! As somebody who tries to laugh as often as possible I love sexy books that can make me laugh. This series did that repeatedly. I think I was also able to identify with characters based on the fact that I'm from San Diego, California and my husband is from Goose Creek, South Carolina. We had a lot of language and lifestyle hurdles to get over and since this series mainly takes place in New York and half of the characters are from a small town in Tennessee the hilarity just doesn't stop! In the last book they even have to spell out that just because she says "y'all" doesn't mean shes talking to everyone, after all she didn't say "all y'all" right? Heehee! I also tried really hard to finish the Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Anne Rice... I gotta be honest. After getting three or four chapters into the second book, I couldn't even convince myself that it was going to be worth the time and effort it took to suffer through each painful paragraph! I tried so hard! I couldn't do it. Explain to me why a simple conversation cannot happen unless the conversationalist has his penis inside Beauty SOMEWHERE??? I mean really? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Not sexy, just annoying... and kinda dirty if you think about it! Lol! I have also been rereading the Guildhunter series by Nalini Singh, and the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. Next on my list is rereading Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole (still my favorite after all this time). In summary I recommend all series mentioned except Sleeping Beauty, but I personally bow down to those who got through it! You must have the patience of a saint or just different taste. Either way good for you!!! Hahahahahahaha!

Book: Iced by Karen Marie Moning Genre: Paranormal romance Rating: ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) * Sex: ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) **** What was there was more weird than sexy! I want to start out saying that I LOVED the fever series. That is the series the preceded this new spin off with the 14 year old Dani O'Malley. There is a lot of negative feedback with the main character being so young and surrounded by sexual situations and men finding her attractive...newsflash! I dated a nineteen year old when I was that age, and guess what! We had sex! That doesn't make him a pedophile, and it didn't make me a wanton whore. He thought he loved me and I had no way of understanding the hormones running through my system and all the new feelings that came with them. The fact that Dani had the upbringing she did and Ms. Moning has maintained her virginity and her innocence (for instance when she gets a "look" from a guy she doesn't know what it means, and she often mistakes the "hungry" male look for them wanting to kill her) is pretty unrealistic if you ask me. I have a 15 year old daughter and I still don't get the heebie jeebies reading this because my daughter wasn't raised in a situation where she would be exposed to this stuff. People get very uncomfortable faced with issues like these. I still enjoyed revisiting the Fever world, however the book didn't make me impatient for the next one. Dani is still 14 and Ms. Moning shows no sign of skipping ahead any time soon, so how long are we going to be stuck in this teen world walking on eggshells and maintaining the main characters innocence (even though she has a "friend" her age that loves her, a death-by-sex fae prince, and an immortal monster with few morals wanting to get her in bed.) I hope the story moves forward faster in the second book! But it was still a good read.

I was wondering Seanna, have you read any of the Hotel Bentmoore books by Shelby Cross? I have only read a couple of the stories and I find them quite entertaining. I am curious what you would think.

I have them on my Amazon wish list, so when I get my next gift card (or permission from my infamously cheap husband, aka when hell freezes over) I will be able to purchase them. Yay, Christmas!!!

Book: Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost Genre: Paranormal Romance Rating: ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Sex: ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ** A little light but what's there is hothothothothot! Vlad Tepesh... THE Vlad Tepesh. I have loved Ms. Frost's version of this character since he was introduced early in the Night Huntress series. I am a sucker for scars and manly arrogance, so when I finally read this book I was worried that he would lose some of that when the focus was solely on him. I worried for nothing!!! Apparently Leila has a thing for scars and manly arrogance, too. He is super intense, very focused on getting what he wants, and all about the torture. Leila is an ex-spoiled brat that got hit by a downed power line when she was 13. Since then she has developed a (wait for it...) SHOCKING personality, Lol. I'm horrible. In short she is a conductor of electricity that can pick up past, present and future psychic visions with her right hand. She is kinda bad ass, and I didn't want to slap her at any point in the story, that's why I love reading Jeaniene Frost! I love her bad ass female characters as much as her male characters. I love the Night Huntress books as well as the Night Huntress World books, read them in order (Google it) it is a series that STILL hasn't gotten old or repetitive. There is something very special about that to me!

Book: Sweet Seduction by Maya Banks Genre: Contemporary Romance/ Erotica Rating: ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) ** Sex: ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ** Pretty good, not my favorite This is one of her Sweet Series books and I have read the others. I'm glad for the continuation since the two main characters have been dancing around eachother since the first book, but the story just fell flat for me. Neither character was a solid personality, he was clueless from beginning to end and she was one of those that says she is strong and no nonsense but everything she does is the opposite. I hate that. I appreciate the fact that she was a bigger girl that was comfortable in her own skin, and I also appreciate the fact that he saw her as perfection in the female form. The problem with that is that all the girls he had dated before her were skinny blondes and he refused to even acknowledge that there was a difference, seems a little unrealistic to me. Just my opinion, being a bigger girl it was nice to read about one. There are not very many stories for us, Lol.

I will be starting a new thread just so this one doesn't make it to page 4. I find it helps to start new instead of having 50 pages to sift through to find a specific review. Just fyi, I have some good books coming up. Just got my hands on the Masters of Hotel Bentmoore compilation, Shadow's Claim by Kresley Cole (a favorite author of mine), Legacy by Chris Adonn (still think about you all the time, girlie), and Red and her Wolf by Marie Hall (Kingdom Series). Those will be coming up on the new thread and I hope they are awesome!
